BOSNIA ON-LINE NET HAPPENING ON 31.8.1995
HELSINKI, FINLAND
As a part of the annual Helsinki Night of the Arts festival on 31.8.1995
at 15-19 GMT there will be an internet happening in the heart of Helsinki,
the Senate Square. The festival public will have internet access through
several net terminals. These connections will be used to communicate to
ex-Yugoslavia and to various internet sites around the world. The organisers
encourage the internet community to participate in this BOSNIA ON-LINE
happening through our web site Bosnia On-Line.
Our address is (URL) http://www.inet.fi/jugoslavia
We are looking forward to receive messages from compu-cafis and cyber-cafis
as well as messages from any internet users. We are organising a graffiti wall
that you may use in communicating with us. You may send your greetings to the
happening, comments about the Yugoslavian war (please remember good taste and
the netiquette) and messages to be forwarded to Bosnia and ex-Yugoslavia. You
may send your messages prior to or after the happening but especially we would
appreciate your communications at the time of the happening itself
(31.8.1995 at 15-19 GMT).
In our web site there will be links to various Sarajevo-, Bosnia- and ex-Yugoslavia
related web sites and databases, information on the situation in Bosnia and
ex-Yugoslavia and, for example, a collection of artworks made by Sarajevo
orphan children. The paintings will be auctioned in the happening at
Senate Square but you are welcome to visit our web-gallery prior to the
auction.
We are currently constructing our web site and there will be daily
additions and changes, so keep on logging!
To add comments or questions use the following form.
An Index of it will appear on this page.
Your messages are being sent via internet to
ZaMir Transnational Network and will be posted
to a public forum accessable to ZTN in the regions of the former Yugoslavia.
