BOSNET ACTION ALERT: LETTER TO FLAVIO COTTI ASKING THAT NO
ELECTIONS BE HELD BEFORE THE ARREST OF KARDZIC AND MLADIC TO BE
SENT ON MONDAY
Editor's Note: The ambassadors and envoys of the 54 member
countries of the OSCE permanent council voted on Thursday to
recommend that elections take place in Bosnia on or before
September 14. The charimen of the Permanent Council, Ambassador
Benedikt von Tscharner, stated that is was "important to maintain
the momentum of the peace process," Mr Flavio Cotti the the
Chairmen of the OSCE has until Tuesday June 25th to certify
whether the elections are 'free and Fair'. We will wait until
June 24th at noon to send Mr Cotti the final version of the
letter that our readers have written him asking him not to
certify elections until Dr Karadzic and Gerneral Mladic are
arrested. The letter with your signatures follows:
Mr. Flavio Cotti
OSCE
Dear Sir,
We the undersigned fully support your effort to certify the
upcoming elections in Bosnia-Hercegovina only when they are free
and fair. It is our considered opinion that democratic elections
cannot take place until Dr Karadzic and General Mladic are
apprehended.
