I firmly believe that the mission that my comrades have been sent to do is
a noble one.

Further more I think the people of that country, especially the
non-combatants, should

be very grateful for the assitance that we are rendering. Not to mention
the soldiers that will inevitably

lose their lives on foreign soil. Any response would be appreciated

the more i know and the more i see ,frightens me terribly.  in ireland we
had a war but it was isolated by the governments involved,misrepresented in
the press and generally ignored by the public.  of course they were being
sheltered from it, 'close your eyes don,t look, what you can't see won't
hurt you'.  this attitude is carried everywhere and now especially to
bosnia where a genocide is executed and noone knows, noone sees or they
pretend not to. of course bosnia was ignored by the west, nothing to gain
and much to lose, no oil in bosnia!  i sat and watched, waited and cried.
what to do, what can i do? while i sit here in relative comfort what will
become of this displaced nation? i am so connected to this,to what goes on.
the images haunt my brain, the lies make me sick, the apathy is shocking.
i have wanted to go to sarajevo for so long, so that i could really know
and really see, soon someday soon.  i carry the weight of this war in my
conscience but i haven't suffered, ihaven't had to watch those i love die
and die and die. what is there to say when there are no words left to say?
