New activity on e-mail starting

After fair discussions two new conferences are in the
establishment-procedure. Zamir/reg/slavon-I (Slavonia-
Info - READ ONLY) and Zamir/reg/slavon-D (Slavonia -
Discussion). These conferences are located at Zamir-
Pakrac and they should be available on Zamir/ztn -
network.

Due to technical reasons (only? - bad telefon lines ....)
till now they are not working. But as there is an urgent
need to start (discussions and unanswered questions on
Saturday - 6. 4. 96 in Pakracc before Janns fare-well
party proofed) we will start first with the informations.
They will be distributed to friends who subscribe using
mailing lists. For discussions we will use  (till slavon-
D is on mail) according Srjdans proposal during the
discussions the zamir/peace - conference as nobody is
using it anymore for general peace-purposes.

We will use this "transition time" as a training period
for conference handling and translation-services, as you
can order the informations in Croatian, English or German
language. SO PLS MENTION IN YOUR SUBSCRIPTION THE
REQUESTED LANGUAGE!

May be it will not work from the very beginning, we are
trying to learn our lessons.

Purpose of these conferences
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=
=3D=3D=3D

The overall idea is to render a special service to people
and organisations interested in Slavonia and how to
improve situation there. It should not be a game-yard for
concerned foreigners and concerned "peaceniks" - it has
to be open from the beginning to the residents and the
displaced, a e-meeting place to inform about and discuss
the whole variety of social and economical problems,
their needs. And also the problems. As the process of
social and economic reconstruction needs more than
humanitarian aid, needs a solid local, Croation social
and economic envirement, including relations to
neighbours, Europe and the World, we will try to work out
more efficient ideas to help people from this region. We
will try to improve the outside assistance by using the
positive results, even from projects, which failed. But
not promoting project-schemes, which proofed to be
unrealistic and not working, only because it is easier to
arrange the funding.

This is a very challenging and sensitive "job". Therefore
both conferences are moderated. They should establish a
training-environment for civilised discussions,
responsible informations, provocative questions and
positive results. Results, all of us can be proud of it,
not only as a verbal contribution for reconciliation and
a better future. It is also a step into direction of more
democratic, human rights respecting behaviour. So, to
clarify, to get proper education, to get a job, these are
basic human rights.

Hard copies

As soon as it works on e-mail, hard copies (print outs)
of the info-conference and selected contributions to the
discussion will be available. Also in (Info-part) the 3
languages. SO, IF YOU KNOW SOMEBODY, who might be
interested to participate, but has no e-mail access, tell
us. We will try to meet all demands within the limits of
our funds for this project.

(Hard copies in Croatian language will be sent also to
refugees abroad to give them more informations. Hard
copies in English and German will be sent to friends,
organisations and a lot of institutions, who are working
for refugees).

You see, a lot of work, only working with your feed back
and response. Real peace cannot be "hammered out", real
peace means, nobody has any reason, or atleast no
supporters, to think about next war.
