As a survivor of World War II, as a young child I experienced firsthand the
American

spirit of lending a helping hand. I received the only one warm meal
supplied by American

Government and private sources.   This help was given in the true spirit of one

human helping another in need.  The current US involvement, as I see it
should be

viewed by the opposing factions in your country as a REAL chance to wipe
out misery

and war related suffering.  I really hope and sincerely wish that ALL
people in the

region will understand this undertaking and lend their hearts and spirit
to make it

a success. As a person far removed from the happenings in your beautiful
country

I still can relate to your suffering through my own experiences 50 years ago.

I also belief strongly that, no matter the political shrill propaganda
that we hear from

all sides should not hide the simple fact: Americans care and they care deeply!

Please spread this word to the best of your abilities. Thank you for your
good will!
