Dear Vanja,
Besides apc/yugo/antiwar - apc/zamir/chat is also networked to Zamir
Transnational Net. Obviously, since otherwise I wouldn't get your
letter in New York, posted to a ztn conference.
yugo.antiwar is the oldest discussion forum on the war in former
Yugoslavia. People who access zamir.chat from within APC networks,
are probably familiar with it. It was started by Swedish Peace and
Arbitration Society Youth at Peacenet in 1991 and it was quickly
adopted by all anti-war groups in former Yugoslavia with the spread
of ZTN.
zamir.chat is one of the youngest forums on the Balkans War. It's
apparent advantage is its link to the Web page
(http://mediafilter.org/MFF/ZTN_InFo.html) - making it available to
Internet dwellers who do not have access to APC newsgroups and who
are not subscribed to zamir-chat-l. This link made it possible for
hundreds of young refugees from Bosnia to find the way to communicate
with their relatives back home while being scathered at various
Universities aropund the world.
We also appreciate your attempt to describe Zamir. Though, this is
already done through several web sites and even newspaper articles.
greetings from freezy snowy New York (it has kind of similar climate
to Zagreb, which I hate /the climate/)
Ivo Skoric (ah yet another facilitator of something called zamir)
Hi,
I'm working as a facilitator of the ZAMIR network which connects human
rights, peace, women and ecological groups, as well as some other
alternative groups and individuals trough the BBSs in Zagreb, Pakrac,
Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica, Beograd and Pristina.
I'd like to thank to all of you who are sending greetings and best
wishes to people here. I have to inform you that there are more than
1 000 users (not only inidividual) conected on our net, but not too
many who subscribed to apc/zamir/chat conference.
That's probably the reason that you don't get many replyes from these
terirories. The APC conference which most of us follow is:
apc/yugo/antiwar
In a case you have some really urgent and immportant messsages that
you'd like to send to users of our net, please do contact me on
vanja.nikolic@zamir-zg.ztn.apc org.
For your information, zamir users do nothave direct conection with
internet, but we can follow all apc and Hrnet conferences, as well as
some other.
greetings from snowy, freesing Zagreb
Vanja
