Dear residents,



for the last few years we - in our safe & comfortable land - have witnessed the

terrible privations of the people in Sarajevo.  It is so disturbing that such

scenes of suffering can occur today, only 5 years from the 21st Century.



Although I am not religious, I often "pray" that this terrible time will
soon be over

for you, and that peace will again be enjoyed by the people of Sarajevo,
and by

broader Bosnia-Herzegovina.



I do think that NATO should have acted sooner in applying the tools of
military mightr

to facilitating a negotiated peace; here's hoping that the current
negotations will

be conducted with all due success.
