This evening I attended a dinner given by the Grafton County Republican Club
in Plymouth, N.H., and took the following poll of 65 people:
Are you in favor of lifting the arms embargo on Bosnia?
YES 48 (74 %)
NO 8 (12 %)
UNDECIDED 9 (14%)
It seems that the opinion of Republicans has shifted towards lifting the
embargo. Furthermore, Presidential Candidate Arlen Specter spoke very
forcefully about using massive air power to attack the Serbs and received an
applause from the audience.
As the Republicans begin to deal with Bosnia, one wonders if Bill Clinton can
be far behind.
