WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH! LONG BEACH POLICE SHOT OUR SON 12 TIMES AND KILLED HIM JAN 31 2000 .HE WORKED LA SHERIFFS DEPT. HE WAS NOT A CRIMINAL!! WE DON'T HAVE A POLICE REPORT YET. THEY ALLLEGED TO HAVE PULLED A GUN ON THEM. ALAN T. HOWARD WAS HIS NAME,AND HE WAS 35 YEARS OLD.THE SHOTTING HAPPENED ABOUT 2:23 AM, SO THERE FOR THERE WAS NO WITTNESS. HE WORKED AS ARMED SECURITY IN THE COURT HOUSE IN L.A.

We lost our only son to the Long Beach Police dept. as they shot and killed him and as a result we will never have Grandchildren. We know this police pratice is going to be stopped as all the motions are in order!!THEY SHOULD BE CHECKED OUT FOR DRUGS AND INVESTIGATED EVERY TIME THERE IS A DEATH AND NOT BY THE POLICE EITHER!! WE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE LIVING IN AMERICA AND WE HAVE NO RIGHTS!!MY FATHER FOUGHT FOUR YEARS FOR THE COUNTRY THAT WE ALL LOVE AND LIVE IN AND THE POLICE ARE IN CONTROL. So, they think so they will have to answer for all their actions and it will be sooner and they wont be able to shoot the person or persons who asks them or plant drugs on them either. I raised my children to respect the police and go to them with problems but I wouldnt advise anyone to now!! I have lost all confidence in the police and I know there are some good ones there but where??? My son looked up to the police and always defended them and I told him their not all good and GUESS WHO SHOT HIM? Right the very people he defended!!! They will get their justice from the Lord if not in this life. It may not be so much fun then as it was when they shot my son Alan twelve times with their guns and he never could shoot a rabbit. He use to go target pratice with a friend and that is what he told me. My son never harmed anyone in his life!! My Son, Alan Thomas never had a problem with the police and never ran from them and he got shot and killed by them. We have a lawsuit against the city of Long Beach and have Brian Dunn as our lawyer. TThe Long Beach Police Dept. are very corrupt, just ask anyone not associated with them. They Shoot first and Ask Questions later!!My son was a law abiding citizen and worked for the Sheriffs Dept. in the court house in Los Angeles. MY Only son Alan Thomas Howard was a good hearted man who helped people. He went to the hospital and prayed for strangers with a minister friend of his. How many people do you think would do that??He was also helping abused women and maby that is why the police shot him??He lived at home for a year after his divorce and was planing on moving out the next week-end.He bought me a dozen yellow roses that was in his Jeep when they shot him.I was the last person he called on his cellar phone the night he was killed.That is the kind of person he was,everyone that knew him liked him except for the police officers that killed him...Bet you cant say that about them??

We finally got our police report from the Long Beach p.d. after fourteen months! Of course they all lied and told us that our son pointed a gun at them!!Too bad no-one was there to see them shoot our only son and kill him. They handcuffed him and shot him twelve times, is that justice??They could have just taken him in and what about the woman he was with she was on drugs and the police stated they smelled alchol on her breath and still didnt arrest her?? What kind of Police work is this?? We belive our son was set up and killed as a result of helping abused women. Vengence is mine, I willrepay, says the Lord in his Book and that is when we will get justice I imagine. God have mercy on all the people the Long Beach have shot and killed that didnt deserve it!! My son,Alan Thomas wasnt the type of person who would want us to take the law into our hands and we are law-abiding citizens. We would just end up in jail and that is the last thing our son would want to happen to us. He loved his family and everybody that KNEW him loved him too. I wonder why it is that we citizens have only one year to file a lawsuit against the police dept. but they can file on you at any number of years? Is that equal justice? my dad lives in north longbeach he is almost 70 years old. he has been collecting cars and junk for over 30 years. he has alot of old car parts mostley corvair parts. he has never been in trouble with the law at all. not even a ticket. i live in kansas my dad called me to till me that the longbeac police found some stolen cars next stroe to his building.they knocked on his door at 600am wanting in his place to check for stripped cars. my dad would never do anything like that. all the cars are in his name. the cops also lied and at first said the found the cars in back of his place. then they said they found then next store. my dad is old abd sick most of the time and does not need this from the longbeach police. i told my dad to get a lawer and sue the longbeach police dept. my dad has nothing to hide and he well let the police in anytime they want. my dad has also called the longbeach police about all the drugs in the alley but they did nothing about that. we well be getting then investagated.

This means that they go into a situation with preconceived thoughts and those are that all young men who look a certain way or are not white wearing a polo shirt are automatically guilty and should be harrased or shot.
