MediaFilter supports the new name registry on the internet,
name.space, who is now registering new top level domains
in competition with InterNIC/Network Solutions, Inc. who
has a monopoly on name registration since April, 1995 when
they acquired the service from the National Science Foundation.
Name.space is offering name registrations under new international top level domains, and will create new tld's on demand.
Name registrations are completed on the web via a form interface and secure server. Once the registration is completed, the new name will be immediately functional.
