sorry to hear of another "bad cop" story -- I don't know why it is that so many ppl tend to NOT believe things like this, UNTIL it happens to THEM ~~ & THEN unfortunatly when it DOES (happen to them) there's even MORE ppl who CAN'T BELIEVE IT ! In '95 my spouse was convicted on the words of his commune raised daughter --NO DNA ! NO PSYCH EVAL !-- later in the state file I got after the case was closed- I found a letter written by the daughters mother (who was still living @ the commune) telling of SEVERAL incidents of sexual inappropriate acts displayed by the dau. who we had tried unsuccessfully to get HELP for -ther DFS (Div of Family Services) that WOULD have been of GREAT HELP (as ammo) in getting her help ! They turned around (then) saying that she was the MESS she was because of US ! Her deposition was full of crazy comments like: "my dad raped me when I was in Iowa (at the commune) & he was all the way back home in MO !" There's so VERY much going on -it DOES seem unreal at times I have to admitt-- So I do understand how ppl who don't have such craziness going on in THEIR lives (at the time) would fall into total disbelief ! Thats terribly unfortunate- considering that IGNORING the problem will NOT make it go away ! That is the way that people in the government feel that they can do people now in days, but they will all get there's on jugdement day. I am a former Member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Let me start by asking you what the reason was for your roadside visit with the Trooper? Were you speeding? Were you driving eratic? Were you intoxicated? Why were you stopped? For whatever the reason, did you obey his reasonable and lawful commands while the traffic stop was being effected, or did you do what most people with chips on their shoulders about the law do and "buck up" against him? It's always someone else's falut, isn't it? No matter what, and for whatever the reason, you shouldn't back-talk a Trooper. There have been many a good flashlights damaged on back-talking violators. This is just my humble opinion, which matters only to me.

As a former Police Officer, I am leary of your story for several reasons: Why would Troopers have their "rifles" (even if they were issued) out during a "traffic?????" stop? Why would they give you a poloygraph test? Why were you sentenced to 27 years? I've heard stories like yours for years. The Missouri Highway Patrol is one of the most dedicated and honorable agencies in the United States. They don't waste their time nor jeaprodize their careers on little weasles like you.

Well this sounds like another example of abuse of power as so many of the power hungry cops do. I know for a fact that St. Roberts Mo. Police drawed their wepons on a 14 year old black male, one of the officers name was Patrolman Braun along with three other policeman, all have been fired since this happened, You ask why did they pull their wepons on a child? They done racial profiling. Their are a lot of innocent people in jail today, the facts prove that. I would like to know more about your case. You can contact the Mo. Attorney General and tell them your civik rights have been violated, which in turns makes in maditiory for the F.B.I. to do a complete investigation. You may also contact several civil rights attorneys and sue these pigs.

I'm from Sedalia, MO.. and thank god we got out of there. The cops around there are the most corrupt organization I know of. Believe me when I say, I trust the mafia before I would an officer of the law there. No, I haven't been in trouble.. but when an officer can rape a woman, and nothing be done about it.. other than her being harrassed and threatened if she say anything (by more than one officer) then there's a serious problem there. I know of alot of people who have been treated the same way by police officers, and once or twice by the highway patrol. So to those of you who disbelieve.. maybe you need to open your eyes and see what's really going on out there instead of living in your little utopian world.
