Marinko Culic of the Split weekly "Feral Tribune", looks at the method of political rule in Croatia in the June 22, 1998 issue of this magazine.
It seems that an idiotic form of rule has taken over in Croatia, in which the regime is only pretending to deal with general well being, because they never knew, or have any more willingness to learn how. The only goal that remains is constant instigation of tensions, into which, at one point, the opposition is drawn in, at the other, the unions, at the third, the international community, fourth the independent media... So that in a shoot out the terrain could be cleared for new tensions and new conflicts. Besides this, the larger part of the opponents become the hostages of this model of rule, because the only keep it awake with their harmless bickering, while they give up on this for peanuts. In this manner, bit by bit, the idiotism of the rule becomes the possession of a wider circle of Croatian beings, and in that respect, the destruction of the society is quite guaranteed. This has also been noted by bishop Bozanic during his very timely reaction to the events in education policies. The bishop has quite justly warned that the most recent events are destroying the education system. But, he did not stop at this, but used the school strike as a means to stress an even more drastic question" "responsibility towards fundamental institutions of or society and state."
Judging by everything, it is not incidental that Bozanic spoke out recently against the harmful demonization of the international community. It is a fact that the HDZ has "created" the state, but it is equally successfully destabilizing and destroying it, so a quite serious question is being raised what are the expectations put on the table of the international community if one of its members turns out to be so immature, even demented, so that it is not even responsible towards its own institutions.
