Hello,

my name is Jean Triquet. I was born in Swiss and I come from Belgium. I work
now in Germany and my wife is spanish (we will get married in one month).

I would like to break the madness in Yougoslavia but I can't. Perhaps, is
it possible to have some contacts with one person in Sarajevo ?

Jean

Subject: Bosnia through the eyes of students

On friday, Apr 7, Juniata College organzed panel "Bosnia Through the Eyes
of Students". As one of the partisipants, I said something about myself
and my was.
My name is Ismir Tufekcic. I was born in Banjaluka (Bosnia and
Herzegovina) 21 years ago. After I finished high school in may 1992, I
found myself in situation that I have to pack my bags. Only question was
where I would go; to the Srbian Army or out from my town. Of course, I
did not found caring gun very exciting, so I left Banjaluka with my family.
I wanted to go to Canada, and very soon I found out that every country
wants to take care of refugees, but not in their country.
I was stock in Croatia, so I decided To do something useful for change. I
started working (as volonter) in one refugee camp, then in
Prijedor-Bihac comunity, for English humanitarian convoy (I spent a month
in England with them), for Assiciation of Women from Bosnia and
Herzegovina, for Association of Students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and
on the end for World University Service (office in Zagreb). I that period
(almost two years) I was asked some questions thousend time, so I had
time to look for answers. Some of the question were asked on penal as well.
As students we all realised that we are the one that would have to clear
this mess. We have to comunicate with one another, and live together.
Yugoslavia was artifitual and breaked can be rebuild again, but Bosnia
become Bosnia through 2000 years history and once distroyed would be
imposible to recostract.

FAQ about Bosnia.

Is this civil war?
NO. For civil war you need two sides. Bosnian governmant did everything
possible to prevent war through NON VIOLENCE. Unfortunatly, Serbian
leaders wanted war and with help of Srbia and ex-JNA started shoting at
civilians. Aslo 200.000 Serbs on governmant controled territory would be
dead bye now if this was civil war.

When all this madness is going to stop?
Probible not very soon. Bosnian Army is getting stronger, but it would
take time to be strong enough to defeat Serbs. The most likely would be
that when Bosnian Army get strong enough, Serbs would sign peace proposel.
