And we've got a good record of doing that, starting in 1962 with the first protest against the Vietnam War. But the rest of what you say is off-base. We have a long history of journalistic coverage of Yugoslavia going back to our first year of Workers World newspaper in 1959. And we have closely followed recent events. We published a pamphlet in 1992 titled "Imperialist Intrigue and the Breakup of Yugoslavia." And for the last two years we've had almost weekly coverage of developments in the former Yugoslavia. So, you may disagree with us when we say that the U.S. imperialism played a major role in the breakup of Yugoslavia (though we've documented it in our weekly coverage), no one who really knows Workers World could possibly say that we've ignored it until the time when U.S. troops are being sent. Your points about Milosevic are true. I'm not sure why you are including it in your message attacking Workers World. The article you are responding to makes no mention of him. Snide comments about the size or location of Workers World are usually used by people who can't answer the facts of our argument. It's an old lawyer's trick: When you can't beat the facts, smear the source. Actually, what you say about Workers World is completely untrue. Workers World has branches in many major cities across the U.S. We are the first Marxist party in the U.S. to have won enough votes in Michigan to qualify for ballot status there. We are neither narrow nor only in New York. I see that you sent this letter not just to me but to various lists and news groups. Next time, please check your facts before you start distributing your response around the internet.
