It's been fascinating, if terribly depressing to hear the kinds of stories she tells of living in those conditions, while I'm reading them in comfort from my home in peaceful Budapest. Anyway, she recently wrote about her brother, a gifted music student, who faces conscription in the army soon unless he can leave Bosnia on some kind of music scholarship to study abroad. I don't know what I can do to help personally, but if anyone out there has contacts in the world of music academics or has any other ideas, please contact me at my private email address. Here is the passage from her letter to me. Feel free to pass this whole message on to other discssion fora with my contact info attached. > The big care of myself is my brother. He's almost 16 and > he went to the recruitment. He's the first class of the secondary > and music school(piano). He finished a primary school of music. > Because of the very bad conditions he can't practise, piano is > in the room which is dangerous. His name is Goran, but we call him > Sani.Sani works on computer very good and knows a lot about that. > Please, if you can ask about some kind of the Music school. > The only way that he goes outside in a piano.I am very afraid about > his future more than mine. Please try something for him there or in > America.Everything what you doing for us here is BIG, real BIG. > I respect your trying to help very much. What a modern miracle it would be if we could help these people. I hope someone can. ----------------------- ----------------------- Rick E.
