When I was working at the Army Headquarters in Montreal, I had the opportunity to put together about 6 tonnes of humanitarian goods for the children in former Yugoslavia. In the dozen or so pallats were candy (Courtesy of HERSHEY CANADA), teddy bears, warm clothes, and shoes. The ship came in in December in SPLIT or PLOCE in Croatia carrying the materiel, and I lost track of what happened to it. Did any of it get to the children? The International Red Cross may have distributed it.... ---------------------------------------------------------- ii. I would like you to know that your plight is foremost on the minds of most Canadians. Every day the front page of the newspaper shows the destruction, death and hardship in Bosnia. We are with you, and we (I) hope that common sense will prevail in this conflict. Please speak out against any further ambition and warfare. Save your sons' lives. War is every soldier's nightmare.
