  • In January 1995 Deputy Scott Chamberlin followed a woman he knew ( to be part of the gay community ) to a private residence. ( He had previously tried to date girlfriend and his macho side was offended we suppose at getting turned down ). After she had stopped and entered the property he followed her and another person told her "go in the house I'll handle this and kind of nudged her friend toward the door. At that point the Deputy accused the suspect of "interfereing" pushed here to the ground, straddled, cuffed rought up like they love to do and arrested the woman for obstructing, resiting etc. ( He lost the case in court and a suit against him and the county is pending we understand } Meanwhile he gave the other woman a field sobriety test ( which she passed ) then ticketed her for refusing a breath test. ..and booked her for obstructing too ! No public notice is given on these things. The Sheriff covers it up; the papers won't investigate it or publish our reports. Same deputy exhibits a continuing pattern of abuse most notably a recent case of vengeance....his speciality.....but that's another report.
